Orientation -    Orientation (ruimtelijk)  is defined by Rapoport (1977) as a combination of “physical elements” and “socio-cultural rules”. According to Baers (Rapoport, 1977: p. 148), there are four main methods of orientation;
  1. Signs and verbal aids (asking);
  2.  Recognition of pattern of location;
  3. Habitual patterns of behavior and;
  4. Landmarks.
